Roanoke Island Festival Park – June 8 from 9:30-10:30 am – Roanoke Island – 2nd Saturdays- Nature and Plant Walk at RIFP – Come explore Roanoke Island Festival Park and learn about our native plants and trees as participants stroll around the boardwalk. Second Saturday by the Sea: All About Pirates! June 8th – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum – Hatteras – Enjoy a day of art, craftmaking, live music, food and maritime culture centered around piracy! Meet OBX Irish Pirate Darby Gland and learn to walk, talk and dance like a pirate. Create maritime crafts, watch artist demonstrations, and listen to the seaside songs. Bring a shell to learn about wax casting from artist Crystal Blackmon and learn more about watercolor from Joe Carippoli. Roanoke Island Festival Park Indoor Theatre – June 13, 14, 15 at 10:30 am – Roanoke Island – UNC Greensboro Children’s Show – Broadway for Kids. The show will feature Broadway show performances from Disney plays and other children’s oriented Broadway productions. Tickets are $5 except for those 5 and under are free. Acoustic Sunsets – Thursdays 5:00 – 9:00 pm – Sanctuary Vineyards – Jarvisburg – Acoustic Sunset is Sanctuary Vineyards’ FREE summer concert series.
