On the Outer Banks, you’ll never run out of things to do. Really. So if you need a little break from the beach, there are tons of possibilities.
Get outside and explore one of the Outer Banks’ many hiking trails and bike paths, or sign up for a jeep tour of the islands. Take a kayaking or surfing lesson. Or, go high adventure with parasailing, windsurfing, and hang-gliding outings. You can even take to the skies for a bi-plane ride.
There are plenty of kid-friendly options for families, too. Putt-putt golf, go-carts, movies and arcades are fun for all ages. For an educational experience that’s also a lot of fun, try the lighthouses, the museums, and the aquarium. Most have exhibits and programs geared toward children.
OBX.com has a comprehensive list of all the exciting activities available on the Outer Banks. So whether you’re looking for a rainy day activity or a high-flying adventure, make sure to look here first.
