Manteo, NC- Mark your calendars for the 26th Annual Artrageous Art Extravaganza, hosted by Dare County Arts Council on October 31st, 2015 at Dare County Family Recreational Park at 602 Mustian Street, Kill Devil Hills from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event has been rescheduled to October 31st, due to potentially unsafe weather conditions this weekend.
Artrageous is an annual arts festival for children, featuring live art demos, kids activities, art vendors, music, dancing, delicious food and fun for the whole family. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. To take advantage of the new date, many of the activities will have a Halloween theme, including a free activity where children can create their own special, creative trick-or-treat bags.
Artrageous is organized and staffed by volunteer artists, musicians, crafters, dancers, writers, photographers and other creative people who dedicate their time and energy to the event each year. Many of the arts and crafts activities for children will be hosted by partner nonprofit organizations.
Proceeds from this community-wide event benefit art education and cultural programming in all Dare County Schools, the DCAC endowment fund and the Artrageous Youth Scholarship Fund. Sponsors, volunteers and artists are encouraged to become involved in this Dare County community tradition.
