WHALEHEAD LEGENDS AND LORE LOCK-IN & TOUR – October 31st – 7:00 pm – Corolla – Ever wondered what goes on at Whalehead when the lights go out?  Sixteen individuals will have an opportunity to participate in a lock-in sleep-over!!! The evening begins with a ghost tour followed by a movie and snacks. After you will then be led to one of the five floors of the house where you can spread your sleeping bag, plump up your pillow, and sleep the night away… if you can! The event will feature local chefs from restaurants throughout the Outer Banks who will compete to prepare the best shrimp dish. There will also be a large silent auction highlighting donations from local businesses as well as a 50/50 raffle, live MC, and dolphin conservation outreach booth. All proceeds will benefit the 501c(3) non-profit, the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research. November 6th will be the start of a series of fundraising events that will take place the 1st Friday of each month benefitting different local charities. This inaugural event is called “1st Friday ~ Bourbon Tasting” and The Outer Banks Relief Foundation has been selected as beneficiary. The event will include a Bourbon Tasting that will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 pm hosted by Jim Beam Ambassador, Dominic Mikel. The cost for the tasting is $20 that includes appetizers and six different bourbon samplings. OBXRF will receive 100% of Bourbon Tasting ticket sales. The second part of the fundraising event is that our Relief Foundation will also receive 10% from meal sales on that day so dine with us on the sixth of November! PrintAMERICANA BEER FEST – November 7th – 5:00 – 9:00 pm – Pirate’s Cove Pavillion, Manteo – Hype Promotions is proud to announce a brand new craft beer festival that will pay tribute to our veterans. Americana Beer Fest (ABF) will feature live music, food, games, vendors, education and, of course, beer! Patrons will enjoy an all-inclusive ticket featuring more than 20 styles of delicious libations from veteran-owned and local Outer Banks breweries.
