Outer Bank Memorial Day Week 2016 – YAY!!! The ‘official’ beginning of summer. We’ve had a lot of fun getting ready for summer to start and now the OBX is ready to welcome everyone with open arms. 5TH ANNUAL SHORE BREAK 5K AND TIDE POOL FUN RUN – May 30th – 8:00 am – Koru Beach Club, Avon – The 5th annual Shore Break 5K will be held at 8am and the Tide Pool Fun Run on the beach will immediately follow the 5K at 9am. This race terrain will keep you entertained the entire 3.1 miles, from paved roads through winding beautiful Kinnakeet Shores to wooden bridges, boardwalks, beach walkways, a few steps up and over the dunes, finally finishing with an unbelievable view of the Atlantic Ocean as the final stretch takes you to the beach.
