NATURALIZATION CEREMONY – April 16th – 3:00 pm – Wright Brothers Memorial, Kill Devil Hills – The NPS is partnering with the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service for this event as well as local and statewide schools so that students can watch and learn about the process of becoming an American citizen. The partnership helps introduce new citizens to some of the nation’s most significant natural and cultural resources. Two new 2015 historic home designations – Owen Cottage at 2019 S Virginia Dare Trail and the Young/Croarkin Cottage at 201 Random Street will be honored. Participants will be given a map of the properties and they will have from 2 to 5 p.m. to tour those that are open. Signs will be placed in the yards of those available for touring.
