Please join Manteo Preservation Trust (MPT) for the 13th annual Holiday Tour of Homes, Saturday, December 2, 2017. Included on the tour this year are several historic island homes, new construction using “The Manteo Way of Building” and a renovated building that is purposed as a home and business.
Outer Banks Craft Distilling at 510 Budleigh Street serves as the check-in for the tour. You may buy your tickets the day of the tour beginning at 11:30 AM (tour starts at noon) and you will be given a tour guide of the locations with a map. Tickets are $20 per person. Light refreshments will also offered here (not at the tour locations). The distillery will be hosting an afternoon tasting of their locally famous Kill Devil Rum for tour participants. Manteo Cyclery will be on hand, supplying use of their bikes for anyone that wants to tour by bike. Bikes are limited so this will be offered as first-come, first-served.
Here are some helpful notes:
* Please do not start your tour of the locations until noon.
* Join us at anytime during the tour for holiday refreshments
* A commemorative ornament will be on sale
* We ask that you bring no food or drink into any of the locations.
And please, no strollers.
* Cash, credit card or checks are accepted.
The Holiday Home Tour is a fundraiser for the 501c(3) nonprofit, MPT. The mission of Manteo Preservation Trust is to enhance community awareness of Manteo’s historic, cultural and architectural heritage. The Trust endeavors to develop citizen support for historic preservation of Manteo’s coastal heritage while encouraging sympathetic community development. Important to the Trust is the recognition of individuals and organizations that contribute to the historic and architectural integrity of the Town of Manteo. Though these efforts, Manteo’s sense of place as a vibrant coastal town can remain true to its history.
